WZIG 104.1 FM

Play WZIG on your car radio ANYWHERE!

If you have a smart speaker in your car:

Try saying "Alexa Play WZIG"  (or "OK Google, Play WZIG")

If that doesn't work, try "Alexa, Play WZIG on Tunein".  If that doesn't work, Google "Alexa won't play radio station".

If your radio has bluetooth:

  1. On your radio, go into setup, bluetooth, pairing, begin/start

  2. On your phone, go to wireless, turn on bluetooth, scan for new device.  when new device is found, click add.  may ask for a code, try 0000

  3. Once added, open a web page on your phone and go to WZIG.org, then press the Play button

If your radio has an "AUX" jack (small hole, like the headphone jack on your phone):

  1. Sometimes the AUX jack is next to the cagarette lighter jack

  2. purchase a "3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable" like this one

  3. connect one end to your phone headphone jack and the other to the AUX jack on your car radio.  on your car radio, select AUX input.

  4. open a web page on your phone and go to WZIG.org, then press the Play button

If your radio has a cassette player, try a "cassette adapter" (non-bluetooth) like this:

https://smile.amazon.com/Reshow-Car-Audio-Cassette-Adapter

Be sure to select Palm Harbor Radio as your Amazon Smile Charity.  It costs you nothing and Amazon donate 1/2% to WZIG!

  1. Push the cassette into the player

  2. Plug the cassette cable into your phone headphone jack

  3. open a web page on your phone and go to WZIG.org, then press the Play button

If your phone does NOT have an headphone jack OR you prefer a wireless connection to your phone:

  1.  try a “BLUETOOTH cassette adapter” like this:   https://smile.amazon.com/Reshow-Bluetooth-Cassette-Wireless-Smartphone
Be sure to select Palm Harbor Radio as your Amazon Smile Charity.  It costs you nothing and Amazon donate 1/2% to WZIG!

  2. purchase a unit that can charge while playing

  3. On the cassette, go into setup, bluetooth, pairing, begin/start (see instructions with unit)

  4. On your phone, go to wireless, turn on bluetooth, scan for new device.

  5. when new device is found, click add.  may ask for a code, try 0000

  6. push the cassette into the player

  7. open a web page on your phone and go to WZIG.org, then press the Play button

If your radio doesn't have any of the above:

  1. try a "bluetooth FM transmitter" like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Nulaxy-Wireless-Bluetooth-Transmitter

Be sure to select Palm Harbor Radio as your Amazon Smile Charity.  It costs you nothing and Amazon donate 1/2% to WZIG!

  1. tune to an unused frequency on your radio  (in Tampa, 96.5 is unused; 88.1, 89.3 and 99.9 might also work)

  2. set the transmitter to the same frequency

  3. On the transmitter, go into setup, bluetooth, pairing, begin/start

  4. On your phone, go to wireless, turn on bluetooth, scan for new device.  when new device is found, click add.  may ask for a code, try 0000

  5. open a web page on your phone and go to WZIG.org, then press the Play button

This solution may get interference from some stations on the same frequency as you drive through different areas…  or from other nearby car transmitters.

If your car radio is BROKEN:  use headphones!  or a bluetooth boombox.
